Welcome to the EYFS at Stantead. 

At Stanstead, the staff and children are really proud of our Early Years Foundation Stage and love coming to school. We hope you enjoy finding out about our Nursery and Reception classes and sharing in all of the learning we are doing. 

Our children have a strong start to their education at our school through a carefully planned, play-based curriculum that supports their learning and development across all areas. They benefit from a welcoming and nurturing environment where their curiosity is encouraged, and their individual interests are valued. Through hands-on activities, engaging discussions, and opportunities to explore both indoors and outdoors, children develop key skills in Communication, Literacy, Maths, and Physical Development. Our focus on building confidence, independence, and a love of learning ensures that every child feels supported and ready to thrive as they progress through their school journey.

Our Nursery provides both 15-hour and 30-hour sessions. These are free for families who meet the eligibility criteria—please visit www.gov.uk to check if you qualify. If you are not eligible, we can still offer 30-hour sessions for an additional fee. For more information, please contact our office team.
